Friends of the Trails is a non-profit group created to provide support to the 24-mile civic trail system in and around the city limits of Lewistown. Their goal is to keep the trails clean and maintained for the enjoyment of our residents and visitors.
The Lewistown trails coordinating committee generally meets the second Tuesday of the month at the Lewistown Civic Center at 309 5th Avenue South at 9AM. Funds raised by Friends of the Trails allow for a part-time trail coordinator who maintains the trail system, it’s landscaping and improvements.
Lewistown’s Parks and Recreation Department plays a partnership role in the planning and maintenance of the civic trail system and its surrounding parks. Regional Trails are maintained by federal agencies and community volunteer groups and individuals.
Your efforts in keeping the trails clean are critical and much appreciated.
If you want to do more, consider making a donation.
